Thermo Rating
Thermo rating refers to the amount of yearly available and usable sunlight around Australia. Our solar lights work best in regions with a higher kWh/kWp index than those with a lower index. As you will see on the diagram in the top right the Thermo rating is higher in western & central Australia than it is in Tasmania. This is always good to keep in mind when buying solar lighting. Always feel free to let us know your location so we can ensure we send you solar products that suit your Thermo Rating Region.
Wind Region Classification
MOMA Solar street lights are designed for Category A&B winds. This means they can be used safely within regions A & B in Australia, as shown on the map to the right. For a detailed analysis refer to the Australian Standard AS/NZS1170.2.2011
Australia has some of the best sunshine in the world. So why are we not making better use of this valuable and renewable resource?
Solar lighting has moved ahead in leaps and bounds since it was first introducted to Australia.
Technology has advanced significantly and so has our ability to provide better sustainable alternatives to traditional energy solutions.
We encourage everyone to try our solar lighting range. The products will genuinely surprise you with their reliability and innovation.
Many of our products are IP65 rated so they meet Australian standards of being fully protected against dust and other particulates, this includes a vacuum seal. They have also been tested against continuous airflow and against low pressure jets (6.3mm) of directed water from any angle with no harmful effects.
We promote the latest in battery technology with modes that conserve energy and output when needed.
Our lights charge during daylight hours, turn on at dusk and off at dawn. They can be customised to best fit your regions sunlight (or lack thereof). Just call MOMA Solar to build your trust in solar technology!
